Welcome to the new 2017-2018 school year.
Over this new academic year we will continue to strive to improve our educational project, set within the framework of the SEK Education Group strategic plan entitled “SEK 2021”. This plan aims to consolidate our position at the cutting-edge of education with the student at the core of the entire process.
On the first day of class we ask our students to reflect on and commit to attaining personal goals for improvement for the new school year. This task is not limited to our students, but is also the responsibility of all of us who make up the school community.
We are aware of the expectations families have and the importance you place on your children’s education. We are also aware of which hallmarks make us a singular learning community, in a year in which we will continue to celebrate our 125th anniversary. Therefore, we have a responsibility as a school to remain true to our spirit in order to encourage our students to continue to strive to meet the professional demands of the 21st century. I would like to assure families that each of us is personally committed to this learning experience, in which we urge students to make the most of the opportunities afforded them in order to ensure they live a unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience at school. Because they are the ones who are required to tackle this new challenge as individuals.
We are ready to embrace this new exciting stage with optimism and enthusiasm. In an increasingly global, hyper-connected and changing world, our objective should be to ensure that our students are able to continue to learn over the course of their lives, wherever they are and whatever their circumstances, and that they are prepared to realise their full academic and personal potential.
I would like to thank you on behalf of the SEK-Les Alpes team for the trust you have placed in us.
